Pros: BT and WLAN are functional, sees full AC speedĬons: BT works for five minutes and Intel driver disables it on purpose b/c it detected the illegal end user installation. flashed with the "non-factory" BIOS and now this wifi card works like a champ. After a while I found the BIOS for my Lenovo L512 that bypasses the whitelist check. I had to search around for a "non-factory" BIOS that doesn't have the whitelist built-in to the BIOS. Lenovo, I guess, does this so they don't get in trouble with the FCC. I even tried the same card in the WLAN PCI express mini slot.

My Lenovo L512 threw the classic error "1802: Unauthorized network card is plugged in - Power off and remove the miniPCI netwok card". Some laptop manufacturers have a whitelist built-in to the BIOS that will only allow certain PCI express mini cards to be used.
